2.4.Menu Creation
The menu can tell more about the content structure and whether the site is useful for a visitor.
Navigate to Appearance > Menus section to manage all menus on your site. You may also check more information about the Menus section in the WordPress Codex.
Sam Martin provides two menu options. One is home page menu and second is primary menu. Home Page menu will only appear on home page and primary menu will appear in inner pages.
Sam Martin theme also provides one page theme. For this you will need to set all the section in Home Page using visual composer layout and you can give the unique “ID” for all sections. Once your home page section is ready then you can create Menu from Appearance > Menus from admin side.
- Add Custom link element to the menu. Type the anchor title with the ‘sharp’ sign – # before it to the Link field of the menu element. Go to Appearance > Menus and add Custom link.
- You have portfolios or other elements placed on the home page, and you’ll need your visitors to navigate from the menu from various elements/section, you’ll have to type the element/section “ID” in URL input field followed by “#”. Like About us section on home page and about us section id is “about-us” then add “#about-us” in URL input field.
- All menu places in menu structure then you have to choose menu location in Menu setting section and click on “Save Menu” button for create menu.
